There is no such thing as a real, guaranteed pass, although some can guarantee you will buy the certificate. The good news is that nothing worthwhile is ever easy ๐
The whole point of the ITIL examinations is to learn, absorb, understand, and apply the knowledge. Fudging your way through is a waste of your time and money, and ultimately you will be exposed later, when you are asked to call upon the knowledge you never gained – it doesn’t seem worth it to me!
If you want do things the right way, then in my opinion, the keys to the ITIL exams are:
Know the material
You cant remember it all but you must know the key concepts. These are often highlighted but in my experience they focus on the purpose of the element you are focussing on, key statements about that element and certain specific worded definitions. They are usually highlighted to make focus easier.
Know the questions
ITIL has a very specific question style you MUST fully read the question before answering and in particular be aware of negative questions where you are looking for wrong answers instead of right.
Know the exam
Have a strategy. Read a question, if the answer isnt apparent move on and come back. Its a marathon not a sprint and easy marks may be lurking at the end but you need to get there!
Don’t underestimate the task
Its not a pure memory test, it may be multiple choice but thats to aid marking not to make it ‘easy’. The answers are rarely yes or no and you will feel worn out at the end. Sleep and relaxation before the exam are vital.
Dont Quit!
It is worth it and you will get there (and I look forward to seeing your victory dance ๐
Best of luck out there! Don’t forget to share your success!
